WWII Stormtrooper re-design concept

This is a photoshop render I decided to do, in order to get a more realistic idea of the shape and form of the helmet and face mask that I came up with.
I like this design as it still retains much of the world war two aesthetic, but with a futuristic twist.
As I have not had much experience doing this type of rendering. I tried to replicate the techniques of painting with a brush, by placing the colour down and blending it in order to create a 3D form.
This piece took me about 10 hours.

WWII ME-282 Jet Fighter Concept

This is my concept for a delta winged variant, of the german world war two jet fighter, the Me-262.
I first began by initially drawing the shark like nose section of the Me-262, as this was the main focus point for me. I then played around with other features of the aircraft, such as positioning the engines on top of the fuselage, similar to an A10-warthog.
I felt this outcome was expressing the type of aesthetic I was looking for. As it still displays many characteristics of a world war to era jet fighter.
However I feel that the accuracy of the drawings is not perfect, mainly because I wanted to show the aircraft in an orthographic, plan view style. however as you can see not everything is in proportion.
this will be changed for future concepts.

These are my initial colour tests. I took most of my inspiration from of the era aircraft and tank camouflage, to give me a good starting point.
I then adapted these into my own styles thinking about the different environments and locations which the aircraft could function. For example, forrest, desert, arctic etc...
I am happy with the colour schemes I have chosen here, the lighting isn't perfect but as its a new thing for me its something I will be focusing on.
This task took me about 6 hours.

WWII First Character Concept

First Character Concept

This is my first concept for my WWII redesign project. I based the design around German Stormtroopers and Panzer grenadiers.
As I intend to create an alternate reality to the WWII genre, I took examples of period german uniforms and equipment, such as a gas mask and a german helmet. I then adapted them into a more futuristic style. However I have focused mainly on the shape of the armour and basic forms of the character in order to develop them further and add more detail and texture, one I have experimented with more designs.

WWII Tank Re-design (first concepts)

WWII Re-design Project

Tank development 1

These are the initial concepts for my WWII german tank re-design concept. I have focused more on the shape and form of the tank in order to keep most of the world war two aesthetic. However I have added and refined some of the shapes to add a more modern/futuristic look.
I feel that some of the designs need to be refined more, such as the front and rear views. As although I like the external exhaust detail, and the front hull mounted machine gun, there needs to be some more development to make those features, along with the overall shape, more unique, modern and futuristic.

In order to develop the tank I looked at various images of Tiger and King Tiger tanks from WWII. I found these tanks to be a good starting point in order to develop a concept of a german tank, because they had the most striking and recognisable features, that I could use to adapt into my own forms.
I first started by choosing various details and forms from these images, then making these sketches, in order to highlight those forms that appealed to me the most. This also made it easier to generate ideas that will be more realistic and functional.
